Worth Buying 2012 Yamaha R1?

Hey everyone!

I have the chance to buy a (basically) brand new 2012 Yamaha R1. It has like 5 miles on it and has just been sitting for almost 10 years. I've always wanted to get the older generation R1s for casual riding and occasional track since I've always liked them. It wouldn't be my primary bike either since I have others.

I just wanted to get your guys' feedback on if it's worth getting such an old bike? The asking price is around 10k.

Question is do you think it is worth it. You'll most likely have to put tires, change fluids, etc. Over all doesn't sound too bad. But sitting for 9 or 10 years couldn't have been good for it.

^^^ this. Proceed with caution and ask if the cluster was changed. Check to see if tires, wheel weights, rear sprocket, chain are factory.
Will do! The bike is at a dealership so going to make an appointment to check it out this week. I did just notice in the additional pictures they sent over that it didn't have a stock exhaust so that already raises a few questions. I'll have to see it in person cause it does seem a little too good to be true.

I've bought/serviced bikes from this particular dealership before and they've been legit. Besides just looking at the things you guys mentioned, would there be any other way of knowing the gauge cluster hasn't been changed?
