Nop I wouldnt stop. One of the reasons I dont stop anymore is because I got pulled over a couple of times and really wasnt doing nothing wrong, I wasnt at the speed limit, but I was at traffic speed. The cop told me I was doing 90 in a 50 BBBBBSSSS I was doing 65 and a car was right next to me, so also calculating the inaccuracy of the speedo I was probably doing less. Cops really bust our ass here in NY, but in a way I understand them, some bikers here are real ass0
Funny thing about what you said....................... Keep in mind that all I do all day is run laser and watch the cars and the driver very intently to keep from getting hit while pulling them over while walking out in the road.
I'll nab someone at 20mph over the posted limit. When I get them it's generally between 700 and 1500ft away. As I step out the first thing I see is almost every driver on the roadway coming at me is looking down while simultaneously lifting their foot off the accelerator and jabbing the brakes. You can literally see front end dive an suspension settling as cars slow down and the head movement is often given away by the lifting of a hand.
The first thing out of most folks mouths is that they were going *blah blah 5mph over**. It's kinda funny to me and I try to explain to them , that they sure were , after they had saw me, lifted off the accelerator , jabbed the brake and then looked down to see how fast they were going. Then they go into the logic of the "Flow" of traffic. I have a perfectly logical counter to that one too. "Flow" won't split the ticket :fact
Not bustin balls but that stuff cracks me up.
I have to say , without villainizing any runners ........................... The question should be "Are you prepared to go to jail ?" If you're not, you'd better pull the fack over. But then again Mr. Murphy and his girlfriend Karma always have a way of catching up to even the luckiest of us. My ticket was for 114 in a 65 and that was with a break on the speed. So yes it happens to every single one of us. I could've hauled a$$ but my choice was Retiring at 45 or telemarketing. Not a tough choice at all.
It's becoming more clear to me now that the majority of people in our sport ( skewed by squids ) are'nt thinking past next week. Just wait till some of you young guy's go to get a job and get turned down because of your driving record. Sad , but I see a whole lot of it in court these days .
