So I'm dropping off the 750 for her 1st service at the local dealer and I see this totaled Red and white R1 back in the garage behind the service desk. I told the service manager that it looked like that R1 had a big run in with some pavement. He says it did and unfortunately the rider did too, which resulted in his death. It just happened recently around here (Frederick, MD), he didn't know the details, but apparently, the shop owner was restoring the bike for the guys parents because they wanted to keep it in their garage as a memory of their son. What a shame. My parent s would probably burn the thing if that happened to me.
