Hi everyone,

I want to buy a Yamaha DIAGNOSTIC TOOL for my M, the part number is 90890-03239-00 according to the service manual.

Found out below link does got the item for sell, I sent them an email to asking about the details, they said this is the latest version and support 2015 R1/R1M:
90890-03239-00 Yamaha Diagnostic Tool genuine new - KFM-Motorräder

Has anyone here does has this tool and does it require any license fee after purchased?(some of the Europe manufacture will charge license fee on their tools and that is very expensive) Just want to make sure that before I go for it, thanks.

Regards,
KYO.

I now have scanners & diagnostic cables that work on the MT09/FZ09, MT10/MT10SP, SXR900, FJ1300 but need to test them on the 2016 onwards R1's anyone in Brisbane Australia willing to lend me their bike for 30min testing over a weekend I can come to your house or you can come to mine?

Still the same request I am willing to test my scanners on a 2017 R1/R6 onwards if anyone in Brisbane Australia has a bike I can try it on?
Would love to, however if you drill through the earth, I think you'll come outside approx. where I live.
Bit far away unfortunately, however would be interested to hear how it goes. Fingers crossed someone raises their hand (come on lads!).

I am having a tough time understanding this thread since it was first posted in 2015. The 2015s have a diagnostic mode you can access through the dash and clear them. Or the local Yamaha dealer can clear them. The euro4 thing changed that so is this thread about finding a euro4 reader and clearing tool? If so, https://www.yart.at/shop/yec-parts/yart-error-code-delete-for-euro4-r1-r6/

Hope this helps. If not, oh well.

i replaced lines, calipers, master cylinders, rear calipers on both my r1's and just bled it normally and its perfect so you don't need to cycle the abs pump. the manual says to run the the abs pump through the diagnostic tool (so yes you can cycle the abs pump with it if you want) but the reason they say that is to run the line routing test to make sure you didn't cross lines at the abs pump since they aren't marked. and to test pressure that you have bled it properly. this isn;t like the bmw's where it won't bleed unless you cycle the pump.
