No such thing as a "YEC flash".....

 

I know it's not technically a YEC flash but it's the only way I know of describing it, I believe it was advertised on eBay as a "YEC flash" although not affiliated with YEC at all, there are bits and pieces about it that I've found in the forums but not much in the way of how to actually use it, it came with the USB cable and the software to tune it.
There's so much useful stuff in these forums so I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone was familiar with it or has the same flash is knows a little more about it.

Since it is not F-T...they might use a different pin....

 

i read your FAQ on the quick shifter install that says its pin 27, i could try pin 27 and see how it goes.. if its the wrong pin is there a possibility or damaging the ecu? thats the last thing i want haha.

It is pin 27 if you had Flash-Tune....get the YEC manual and see what pin they use, since they claim to be a "YEC flash" that might be safer....

 

Ah ok that's a better idea, thanks. I'll have to chase up a YEC manual, I only have the manual for the Yamaha matching system software and tuning side of if and it doesn't say anything about hardware install. Cheers

 

Does any one on here have info at all on this Street Flash "YEC ecu" at all? if someone else purchased it you might have the instructions on how to install it where you wired up the usb interface cable and which pins to use ect. those instructions might tell me how to wire up my quickshifter lol. it will be easy to tell if you have it because its probably the only ecu flash that uses yamahas matching system software to tune it Please help!
