I know it's subjective, but who makes the best gear??? Quality and Bang for the Buck: Helmets, Jackets, Gloves, Boots, and Suits. I can think of Alpinestars, AGV, Dianese, Arai, Teknic, Joe Rocket, Shoei, Pilot, Icon, HJC, Suomi. I know there are some others, but which one(s) do you think are the best.

Do a search you'll get a million different answers and results. That's what makes the economy go round. Be more specific in your question w/ maybe a specific gear such as helmet, jackets, full suits, or gloves. Also give a price point you'd like to stay under. That'll help you out the most.

Shoei for helmets IMO. (Best fit and great protection)

Arai for helmets with shoei a close second.
leathers? almost all are built in thailand, china, etc now. I use to love one brand (listed above), but not so much anymore as now i wear a bit of everything and imo they are all starting to get fairly close in quality (nearly all are outsourced to asia anyway).

Seriously though, Dianese, a*, Sidi, Shoei, Arai. All of those are good.

I love my Alpinestars goretex gloves to death...totally reliable and trouble free for 5 yrs.
The boots are another story, the outer leather is not of a super high quality but then again what do I expect for something under $250? It's also goretex (raceboots). The soles also wear pretty fast.
Helmets = Arai
Leather suit = AGV which I got used and which have served me well for 5 yrs...other than having a seamstress re-sew new velcro strips for certain areas it's been just fine.

i own all A* gear (suit, jacket, gloves, boots) and it's nice quality, but i think Dainese is on another level. Very nice stuff.
helmet: Shoei's fit me best. The x-11 is a work of art in aerodynamics

it looked terrific, super light and has in my humble opinion an superior shield replacement system vs the Arai.

A*'s is most of everthing i ever had. Drooling over the teknic excelerator. Sidi is the only boots, and the x 11 is the shyte
