If I'm not totally wrong, the Graves ones are reprofiled OEM cams for drop-in with OEM valve springs.
(If I'm wrong I believe someone from Graves will correct me :) )

On YEC Cams you need YEC valve springs because of higher valve lift.
If that is the case they will work well on the road with the graves stacks. I did a head for another engine builder last year with a similar spec cam on stock springs and the graves stacks. Was around 185bhp and great low and midrange. The yec cams will allow about 4bhp more but loose some bottom end driveability especially when used with yec stacks.

I've been reading this thread for a while now and apologies for what I'm about to say if it offends you but it needs saying...

You're obviously not short of money, you're buying a hell of a lot of very nice expensive parts, but are trying to build this engine yourself with minimal experience and equipment. You REALLY need to ship your entire engine to someone reputable closer to you who will measure everything and build it correctly. You're risking a lot of time and money in parts that without proper assembly will not last five minutes if that. At best you won't get the best out of those parts if you don't build to correct tolerances/techniques.

You can use the factory kit manual for your bike as a reference, but that's no substitute for years of experience which only a professional engine builder can provide. Do it once, do it right.

There's plenty of reputable builders in the States who can help you and shipping/customs charges will be much less than here in the UK. I know for a fact that Tim is incredibly busy here, and for a reason. He's one of the absolute best, but there's plenty closer to you than him. I'm sure he'd love to help you out time and shipping charges willing but he's a 'complete' tuner. You'll struggle to get many like that to build an engine that they didn't do the headwork etc. on.

Good luck with your project though.

Quite right that you can just use the stock sprockets the way they are but keep in mind that by using thinner gaskets your timing will be different from stock by a small amount.
Sounds like using the stock holes instead of ovals might be easier on this build as the cam timing might be too complex.

trust me i've thought about it this is what happened to the first head i shipped out to bsr

then not to mention the first ECU i sent out to get YEC flash italy DHL lost it when i had declaired a value of 30 bucks so trust me that has changed my mind about shipping stuff form this country.. but as some know i do own yamaha in costa rica and i have one of my best mechanics on this that has taken apart a few of these do to the lubrication problems when kill a clutch these guys here that buy these bikes spin bearing like crazy i once had a bike out of the box....right out of the box we gave turned it in to the customer and suprise 25 miles later engine f.ed up the thing did not bring any OIL from factory and no light indicator to say so...the other option i thought was to fly someone in but tim is bussy and i seriously dont know any one else

a ok tim the video helped plus bsr said that the kit came with a dvd i just showed him this one he says is no problem as long as we have the specs of the cams and where they should be degreed to so i cant get ahead of my self untill the head is back from proper shiming :rock

Do you have a dyno to map the bike when its done?
What was the base power?

I'd be questioning why your mechanic didn't at least check the oil level before handing the bike over to the customer... That's at least one thing done on a Pre Delivery Inspection.
