Been posted before...still can't figure out why it requires the brake switch considering race bikes don't have one (or at least some of them dont).
Since it uses the clutch to actuate the throttle blip, it doesn't know if you are slowing down or speeding up. By using a discrete from the brake system, it says hey I'm slowing down now, I better blip the throttle.

If I'm "downshifting" it doesn't really matter if I'm speeding up or slowing down I need the blip. Again, there are a lot of race bikes without brake switches

Lol I'm just telling you how it works. Why would you need a throttle blip to go faster though? To downshift its nice to rev match the gear, that is the reason for this box.

:shake I know how it works...I simply stated I don't know why they require the brake switch to activate when many track bikes (where this is useful) don't have brake switches.

Honestly, I'd never run one. Sometimes I blip hard, sometimes not at all. I'd hate to go deep in a corner, trail the brakes and all the sudden have the bike blip when I'm pulling a late downshift between 1 and 2. Crash time.

To each his own.

Cause real pilots don't need an auto blipper? Lol beats me why they do it that way. Wouldn't be hard to rig something up though. A banjo switch wired directly to blipper or a run it off the front brake switch. There has to be something a track bike has that you can tie into no? I've never set one up for the track so that's a real question lol

I'm pretty sure I was first to post this yonks ago so :rory :fact :lol

.... I wouldn't mind to at least try one, would be nice to perfectly match the revs every change like the SMG box in a M3. :bow

Every now and then I'll under shoot a blip... no biggie as I'm not that committed on the street but over shooting a blip upsets the chassis a bit.

There are several ways to attach a brake switch, no biggie.
