Installed Apex Clip-Ons. I'm soooo happy with how they turned out. I went for a short ride and... OMG it makes the bike so much more comfortable while still retaining a clip-on.

Left side Apex, right side stock.

Left Apex right stock.

Both Apex.

well then!! installed GRAVES STACKS!! 09 R1

fuel line mod as well ;)

gotta sleep.;... L8R!!

Trying to survive the mosquitos.
I tell you one thing - us northern scandinavians are desperate for tear offs as well as air filters...

Friend of mine lives just outside of Stockholm, and he was telling me how bad it can get up in Northern parts of Sweden. He's from rural central Minnesota, and he said it's worse over there than here.

It's normally pretty bad during the first two weeks of July. Before this the mosquitos are virtually non-existent and after this there are much less of them. But during them two weeks it is pretty bad in most of northern Scandinavia. You simply don't ride without a tear off visor, or you stop to clean your visor every fifty kilometer...I always change my air filter and I always clean the air channels as well as my radiator after this. I know some of the guys involved in development at Yamaha and I have been trying to convince them about shortening the air filter service interval in Scandinavia (right now they have only got a recommendation for desert areas).

Sounds like Mayfly season here. They are bad for a day or two, then die off. But, they are bad when they die, some places need snow plows to scrape them off the roads and bridges.

I've ridden through clumps of Mayflies and have them explode inside the vents of my helmet, which then puts them on top of the head and face. :yuk:

I heard a rumour about there being drinking contests and bets on who can stay outside the longest while exposed to the mosquitoes. Any truth to that? :lol

"yellow terror" in full effect!! BEAST MODE! activated ;)

You have lovely hands :hammer::no
sorry i didnt cut 'em up n' got all bloody for yah!! :1bluewinky: :jerkit:

well kids, GRAVES STACKS! 2009 R1, yes they are all that and a bag of chips..

very 1st impression, wow she's way louder around the tank/air box, such a menacing growl n' bark out of her when yah rev it... she climbs the RPMs nearly a 3rd faster than ever before..
everything kinda rumbles to life n' you can tell she means business... she is WAY revvier than previously!! Just what the doctor ordered!! instantly noticeable increase in power delivery,
even while fueling was being adjusted (evident by massive backfire in the morning), as my auto tune hurried to keep up with the changes, i'm set up for 13.1afr with 5% adjusments...
its as fuel saver as i can get... we'll see where i end up, i believe in the end it will always balance out, n' if i loose 15mile out of a tank, just means i need to keep on top while touring..

it seems like every gear has new life now!! 3rd and 4th as usual are just mental, i do believe she's earned her nickname "yellow terror" :thumbup

while it seemed the new gearing (15/44) got her up n' going quicker i had noticed a certain lack of follow through from the engine department
as she revved b4 the install, basically she fell flat on her face every time i asked her to open it up!!... it was starting to get annoying..

not any more!! wow... just explosive, smooth, torquey as fvck power delivery now!! even 5th & 6th on the freeway, just crack WOT and BAM...

she's gone!!... i can already feel at least a 5hp increase... building maps for this and ARRROW headers is gonna be a hell of a lot of FUN!!! :fork

thank you SUPERBIKE UNLIMTED & GRAVES!! excellent work on this kit!! i'm very impressed!! and its only the 1st damn ride!!! bahhahha :riding

Very nice! :thumbup
thanks mate!! feels so damn good to see her come to life! i'd say that puts me somewhere in the 165rwhp range!! :yesnod
