****SOLD****05 salvaged raven part out engine etc.****SOLD****

Last friday my raven was salvaged I was hit in the rear by a car. Everything cosmetic on the bike is gone. The motor is good, the bottom of the clutch cover where the knob sticks out for the clutch cable was chiped and caused it to leak oil, but it should be good to go if the clutch cover is replaced. Also the tranny, and air box are still good. The back wheel was smashed but the front wheel and rotors do not look damaged. The forks appear to be straight but I haven't removed them to find out for sure. The chain sprockets and rear rotor appear to be ok as well. The subframe is completely gone but the frame and swingarm appear to be ok besides some scrapes on the swingarm. All of this I am just gauging interest for. I know that pics will help but I am just trying to find out what kind of money I would be looking at and if anyone is even interested at all before I spend the time to post up pics. So here is list of the stuff that I have, Oh and the bike has about 3500 miles on it

Engine w/ damaged clutch cover
Transmission
Front wheel rotors and tire (they appear to all be straight but haven't had them tested)
Forks (again look fine but haven't had them tested)
Rear Shock
Frame
Swingarm w/ some scratches and scrapes
Rear Rotor
Chain & Sprockets
Rear integrated tail light w/ a few scratches but nothing major

So please just pm me or post if you are interested in some of the parts i have listed just to kind of give me an idea. Thanks

I'm not sure how much it is worth, like i said it has some pretty bad scratches in it, it would be perfect for someone wanting to polish or chrome it.

I just had someone offer me $1500 for the whole bike is that a good deal, I had to pay $500 for it from the insurance company, so that would be $1000 in my pocket. Should I ask for more or take it?

reallly motor can be sold for 1500-- up to 2500. just motor.. not inlcuding tach/speedo, wiring stuff, miscellaneous. so 1500 for hole thing is cheap price, but you make money and someone gets good deal.

You'll make more money selling it piece by piece but you'll have the inconvienience of having to do the work of taking it apart, packing, shipping and dealing with it the whole way through. But like I said, you'll realize a much greater amount of money.

It's really no different than selling anything that could be sold bulk/in pieces. A barrel of apples is cheap compared to how much they cost in the grocery store after they've been picked through, washed, polished and put on display. :thumbup

I'm sure that I would probably make more money if I parted everything out piece by piece, but I think I have decided to sell the bike as a whole instead of parting it out. I am still taking offers and right now $2000 is the top offer I have received let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks

this is funny...:lol, fawk just put the whole bike on ebay if you wanna auction it. If you want to sell it, either ask for private offers and/or settle on a price. :thumbup

Good to see you're not too hurt...

Ok right now the highest price I have is $2000 and I have been offered that by a couple of people. So I'm going to try this...... the first person to PM with a $2500 offer it is theirs. If no one wants to give that, then I will sell it to whoever is willing to come closest to that number over $2000. Thanks

To verify what it needs:
Rearsets
Fairings
Clip On's
Levers
Master Cylinder
headlights
gas tank
rear sub frame
rear rim
exhaust
tach
air dams?
steering damper
retap frame slider hole
fairings stay
handle bar control right side
handle bar control left side (Maybe)
Top Triple??? (Maybe)

Could the frame be damaged?
Been talking to buddy of mine who races AMA says frame might be tweaked. Rear ended, caused swingarm to take the hardest impact at the point of frame/swingarm attachment.

Check your pm.

yeah he is pretty much right on the money, the swing arm and frame don't appear to be bent but i'm not positive, the swingarm does have a scrap all the way down the bottom left side, oh and the bottom of the cluth cover go knocked off so oil is leaking
