I have the same exact noise as this fellow:

This is when pulling in the clutch I get that ticking. Please let me know if I need to replace my clutch basket, thanks.

technically not normal, but for folks who dont care.. yeah its normal.
wear and tear item. I dont use words like normal, or fine. I would rather
know what the fvck is making all that rattle. ;)

its your clutch basket damper springs.. they're loose. you can shim them.

problem is you need to separate your basket from its 'gear' to get at them..
HINSON billet basket is what i run cause its better.

i didnt care what it cost, its better than oem, specially when matched with
an aftermarket slipper clutch. but i do love bragging about how much
it cost, so i guess its a catch 22 :D

it wont damage anything, just your ear drums :(

yep, just annoying really.. but if you really want to discuss 'annoying'..
your spelling leaves a lot to be desired ;)

yeah i kinda figured that.. its probably a good thing, i tend to come back n' clean up posts shortly after i press enter. :D it helps when you realize you're bound to get some shit-show
discussion going and decide a nice bottle of wine tastes better..

e.d.i.t. ;)

yep, i thought the same thing.. except in my case i swapped out my clutch basket to replace
the oem unit while i was doing the Yoyodyne, then started riding it. Like a month later the
springs started rattling, oh, for gawds sake! why didnt i shim the stupid things!!

out came the kit again.. just could not leave it alone knowing there was a simple, quick fix.
