I have searched all over web and havent found anything and i dont want to look while im riding, but does anyone know what the top speed (i.e redline MPH) for each gear? This is for the 2000 model so no 107MPH first gears LOL.

Like i said in above post, i dont want to do it myself man. Something about having to look at the tach, the speedo and the traffic (or potential traffic) all at the same time. I guess im just not THAT freaking curious eh? Kinda thought some bike magazine would have already done this LOL. Or at least some nut on here. :lol

Thanks man-all info is appreciated!

I did see in my google searching that the '98-'99 had a top speed in first of around 75MPH but in 2000 they made a taller first gear so im not sure if it was still 75MPH in 2000?

I have seen the 170MPH top speed. Thats accurate im sure but crazy that a 385 pound bike with 130HP at the wheel and twice the torque of a 600 has the same top speed as a 600. Gearing agian though im sure.

The 2000 is only 3MPH faster in first despite the taller gear? Wow. They mist not have given it "that much" of a taller gear! Maybe just for PR purposes or something?

The new R6 is the first 600 to break the 170MPH barrier....or so all the mags say.
