I do agree with dfrisco...a friend of mine had it on his 954 IMO, it has better finishing than the Akra. Performance wise they are about the same.

I would recommend a Graves full ti system although the Akra and Arata are good choices too.

 

I've own(ed) the Akra (on my track day bike now), Arata Ti and a Graves Ti to date.

Impressions, the Akra is a very straightforward, clean, produces power and is easy to install. The Arata is visual eye candy, the welds are fantastic, quality is outstanding; I prefer the angle in which the can exits; it is louder than both the Akra and Graves. As for the Graves, the header design is considerably different than both the Akra and Arata, in addition it is harder to install due to the increased tube size. It appears to be of high quality, the verdict is still out on the visuals in contrast to the others mentioned.

Of all three I prefer the sound of the Akra; they all appear to be comparable power-wise; I haven’t yet had the chance to dyno the Graves Ti. (It was purchased for air box testing mentioned in an alternate thread.). At first the Graves seemed far to quiet, after increased usage it appears to have gained volume; it is now similar with the Akra in reference to volume. (My preference)

One thing to note is both the Arata and Graves require lower fairing clearance, you can be proactive and dremel (i.e. remove) the necessary material as needed or allow the pipe to melt the fairing; I prefer to partially melt the fairing material for proper location/shape, followed by dremeling the remaining clearance as needed.

Ultimately it comes down to preference, I chose to retain the Akra for my track day bike as I prefer the sound and replacement parts were readily available from my vendor if needed. (packing, can housings, etc.). In addition I have a carbon fiber can guard designed to fit over the Akra in the event of an unplanned get-off. You can’t really go wrong with any of the above mentioned brands, IMO.

I have the Arata, and not being biased, it is better than the others. The welds are the thickest and cleanest i have seen yet, and the pipe diameter is larger than the others=more flow. It has a deep growl almost like a V-Twin.

I have the Akra full system and I love it.....it is a loud pipe...and was worth every penny....for the money though the Arata is cheaper and is full titanium which is much cheaper than the akrapovic.....and also sounds great

If youre looking to save $500 go with the Arata. I have the Akrapovic Evolution and i have no complaints. As to the sound, i have never heard a better sounding system at high rpms! I had no choice but to go with the best for my ride, i dug deep and purchased the Ak!

 

I installed my Arata system this past weekend, and my first impression was WOW! The sound is awesome, and the welds and overall quality is outstanding.
Coupled with the Graves Velocity Stacks, my ride feels like a new bike! :fact Bottom line...I LOVE IT!!

I have Arata and quality is par or better than Akra.......but sound..oh..boy... ...Arata sounds like it can rip Akra apart. It's something you have to hear side by side. And Arata is louder.

i am going to have to back that up 100%. i have seen BD's arata and the quality is insane. so perfect it almost made me cry. my devil isnt even close to that perfect... but i like it just the same.
the arata's sound is very nice as well... nothing like the hindle wimper. i think if i had to choose a second exhaust and couldnt buy devil again i would pick an arata...
