Already posted something like this in the Help section, but thought I'd get an opinion over here too.
I'm thinkin' of gutting the Cat out from my pipe. But I'm NOT planning on getting a PC3 or any aftermarket air filter. I'm not doing this for any supposed HP/torque gain, nor am I expecting the seat to be any much cooler.
What I hope is that the bike's temp reading (and the fan) won't light up in start/stop traffic.... I ride in town a lot.
My question is this....
Will removing the cat
- Make the bike run dangerously lean? leading to potential damage?
- Affect low rpm operation (jerky, erratic or otherwise)
- Lose low rpm power... and affect its streetability?
Hope some of you can shed a lil light on this.
