Hey guys, let me start off by saying thanks in advance.
I have a 2010 Yamaha R1 with 28k it has been an awesome bike until recently.
Mods: PCV, Autotune, Smog Block-offs, Toce Slip ons, Y pipe, K&N Air Filter.

I ended up low siding on the right side. After a few days i decided it was about time to tear it down and order some parts. checked out the basics before trying to start it, fired right up no problems, everything checked out only codes that were in stored was the tip over.

Now here's where my problem lays.
I had to replace the throttle cable, for it was broken where it goes into the handle.
had to replace gas tank, so removed the fuel pump from the old one and put it in the new one.
Put everything back together, bike will no longer start. Fuel pump is priming and working fine.

I put the bike in diag mode, have fault code 15. I check D:01 if i twist the throttle all the way open it only goes from 15 - 64. i checked D:13 and that follows only to 15 - 64. D:14 and D:15 both read 101 when throttle is twisted full throttle and 15 when it is closed. if i let off the throttle and try to go back to full throttle the throttle bodies will not open up again.
I by chance got the bike to fire up but idle very low, as soon as I touched the throttle it shut off.

I have tired disconnecting Power Commander, no change.
I have replaced (used, supposedly in good working order) throttle bodies and throttle position sensors, no change.
I have checked the resistance in both throttle position sensor, both within spec.
I have checked the continuity between the tps's and ecu and all is fine.

I am lost as of right now.
Here is video of symptom.

:corn....have you checked that the throttle cables are adjusted properly? This could cause you not to be able to go to WOT....

As for not starting, it could be an issue with a kinked fuel line....do the fuel line mod right away.

I don't have my book handy, what is error 15?

You can't see a kinked fuel line:fact.....you should do it no matter what....

The PCV has a wire that taps into the TPS sensor right? With one of those posi-taps right? Those are known for cutting the wire that it taps into.....look at the TPS resistance from the ECU plug.

Okay will look into doing the fuel line mod. That doesn't explain my issue i'm having with the throttle bodies opening fully though. i just checked the resistance and continuity again between the tps's and ecu plug all are reading within the same range of each other.

I am not asking for the resistance looking down the wire....I am looking for the resistance from the one of the TPS sensors on the ECU connector, to the ground on the ECU connector, the resistant should vary as you move the throttle plates....

Now I saw a bigger issue....is that in your video your throttle plates stopped responding....when in DIAG they should always respond.....but I noticed that your stop switch was set to kill rather than run.....I will go test mine like this, but it think it should respond in both conditions.....

Yep just tested my bike the throttle plates always respond independent of the position of the kill switch.

Since the throttle plates are not moving, it could be the etv fuse or the wiring to the etv motor....

But I bet you have a bad wire somewhere.....

Lol smh. This is going to be a nightmare. I believe I checked all the fuses, but I will check again when I get back to the shop. Praying it is just a fuse! Knowing my luck it will be the ecu :joy:. Thanks for checking for me. If you have any more advise feel free to let me know. I'll keep you posted within the next few days.
