ECU flash options with stock quick shift

Im wanting to get my ECU flashed or the FT kit to do it myself. Im not sure theres anyone the great in my area with a dyno, so I was leaning towards the SBU flash where I send in my ECU.

However I also want to retain the stock quick shifter as I just bought it and cut the shift rod before doing all the research I probably should have done. Will the SBU allow the use of the stock QS?

I want an auto blip as well, and see the Translogic seems to be pretty highly recommended, will this work with the SBU flash stand alone or does this require their ECU module and furthermore will I need to ditch the stock quick shift and add theirs going this route anyway.

Thanks :beerchug:

If you get the Translogic unit your bike will retain the stock quick shifter programming and operation of the oem quickshifter using the translogic bidirectional sensor... you can flash, what ever you should choose nick Marino or sbu or dyno and should be fine regardless after the flash...I recommend shipping the ecu off to get flashed vs a generic bin file from the software...all these guys do this shit for a living day in and out and race these bikes so they should know how to get her set right for you...

...what the hell does this even mean? a quick shifter is a physical device and you can only have one on there at a time. if you get the translogic one, youre using their unit, and their software. the translogic qs software dealing with throttle cut and whatnot has little/nothing to do with the tune.

probly better for the OP to just have his bike flashed/tuned THEN install the translogic as its known to work well outta the box, plus everyone always fiddles with their tune after they have it done anyway xD

I would not go with a mail in ECU service only because you may need to change or troubleshoot on the spot. I have FTECU bike side harness on my track bike and its been great. Also have the FTECU auto tune and auto blip, no issues thus far since 2016. There is also woolich racing but I dont know much about their system, but I hear its reliable as well.

Point being, dont go with a mail in service, no matter who its from.

As much as I despise the online necessity of FTECU to make changes, its been solid.
