R1 vs .......

Ok, two stories here.

I was riding down the highway just minding my own business when all of a sudden ... Whoosh... this piece of pi$$ Buell (at least it looked liked one) or whatever it was flys past me like I am standing still. Now anyone who rides an R1 can not back down from a challenge like that. So of course I nonchallantly pop it into 2nd, not only catch up to him in a matter of nano-seconds but, ride a fat-a$$ stand up Mono past him as if to say "Come and play with the big boys when you pull your balls out of your purse and attach them to a real bike." I gotta give the Buell credit though, he did try to pull a pathetic a$$ wheelie in retailiation.

Second anecdote- Again riding and miding my own business. I am in the fast lane yearning to do the speed limit at the very least. There are 4 cars ahead of me with the lead car going 10 under. I finally have had it so as I go to pass these chumps I get up to the car causing all the back up(mind you I am doing the speed limit which is 70mph). Low and behold it is a Hyundai Elantra. Well this guy was not havin' it and I will tell you, I have never seen a roller skate move so fast in my life. Of course I wasn't in the mood so I just roll on the throttle to pass him with ease. He was very persistent though so I had to kick it up to 140 and watch his POS max out at 110. This occasion was really dangerous actually. You see I was laughing so hard my eyes were watering and I lost some visibility. Not good.

So as it stands R1 vs. Buell and Elantra-- Please... but I am sure everyone knew that already.

Lets hear what you went up against whether on the track or street and the outcome (which we already know).

Do you feel better about yourself?

Are these questions rhetorical or serious???!!
1)No I do not know wtf is wrong with people
2)Yes I feel better about myself
3)I am 26
BTW don't act yous have never done it before.

Also, somebody suggest what I should have done in this situation??????

Answers-
1) Face the mirror
2) I wouldn't; that type of riding is ego driven, and your ego will bite you in the face as it has many downed riders.
3) That's only a number... maturity is a condition of acting. Age is a chronological fact of when you were born.
BTW- I did once with a Viper, came over a 10 degree slight bend, with a rise, almost hit said Viper. Learned my lesson quickly, succinctly. Be careful homey.

Also).... Relax and get over you thinking you are your bike. Your not. Neither am I or anyone else here. Humility and being humble on your bike, still doesn't mean shit when we have to ride invisible, and cage drivers don't get us and if anything don't care much for us. If you do ride like the forementioned, it just means your being smart enough to do the math that we can landed any time. Dont make the statistics go against you anymore then they already are.
Your story exemplifies this how cars and drivers got something to prove. Figure it out.

Without being harsh, put your self in check and go to the track.
ride safe dood.

Even Captain ****** is more secure in himself than you :dundun:

Damned near every one of them if you're so inclined to do a trackday. And what you'll find is that by doing a trackday whatever level of riding you're at on the street ain't enough because there are no Elantra's on the track.
I wish someone had told me before I wasted all that money. God I was so bored. I made some kid on a ninja 250 work hard to keep up on the straights though, only to get passed in the corners. :flex:

Granted. I suppose it was the mood these jokers caught me in.

And Captain, the fact that you act so tough on the forum would lead me to believe you do speed past elantras. So save it.

I'm just sitting here wondering what your reaction will be to getting raped by an RS125 or a TZ250 in the infield while riding your R1.

Do it on a track. Racing on the street just makes us look bad and attracts the cops attention, and kills people.

:lol It's what we're all here for bro.....fun!

You can ride fast and still not ride like an ass. Riding a Wheelie past a Buell and Racing an elantra is riding like an ass.
LMAO

Stone the squids.

this is why i didnt post anything for almost 6 month after i became a member to the forum. you need to know who the top doggs are (respect because you might need some help one day) and how everyone here thinks. people dont like squids and alot of older guys here have been riding along time and have seen too many people hurt.

seriously... does anyone here ride over the speedlimit... assuming that someone else besides me and spicer actually rides on the street?
Why the f would i buy an R1 if i were going to ride the speed limit all the time? everytime I try and ride the speed limit some jerk almost hits me (highway, freeway ) Some of you old dudes should ride ninja 250's and save your precious R1s for trackday. somebody posted pics of a nice pink one his girl is getting, maybe you guys can get a good deal if you all go in together.

Not at all, you will find some young guys on here as well that will say the same things.

Like I said, we all cut up here and there - I will be first to admit that!

What we are trying to get through everyone's head is that just because some dilweed flew by doesn't mean that you have to put oneself at risk or others at risk just to prove manhood.

If any guy/girl can haul ass, stunt do this and do that - I will stand there in awe. But, when someone is collected up in a guard rail I will stand there and go awwwww - tsk tsk.

Stuff like this is what makes our insurance go up - makes the PO-PO chase us - has people calling in plates and PO-PO's show up at your door in the middle of the night.

When you get older and have a wife and kids and you have to pay higher premiums because of reckless driving ect... you will understand.

What other drivers/riders do effects what I pay out in the long run and that I hate.

Just because you are high risk, why should my premiums go up?

Here are a couple of pics that have been posted in the past that should give you an idea of why some people have their opinion. And being a Fire Fighter (thank you for serving) you will see more of this as you respond to scenes as you get more experience.
