Wife, Kids, and I were on our way to dinner yesturday evening and I was able to snap this quick pic at the light. This just makes me cringe and understand why our insurance rates suck (for the most part) on our bikes. Ugh....:no

At least he has his helmet on...so when he crashes he'll be conscious enough to remember how much road-rash burns.

You just have to trust that natural selection will run its course.

:flush::flush:the turquoise tank top is in season now for the squids on gixxers for 2010...you guys didn't know....it's way to hot to wear a jacket and pants and gloves....

some moron pulled up to me the other day with a chrome 929RR and a chrome crash cage and asks me if I'm hot with my leather jacket on.... he had a half shell penis helmet, a hoodie, and shorts....with about a 60 tooth sprocket, the squids cant lean or turn the bike over 10mph, they can only go straight with there elbowz :lol locked and duck feet on the pegs:epimp:flush::bash:crash

today it was 95f around here and i rode with t-shirt and jeans.
whats up with all those stupid comments?
if i dont race anybody , or going for the twisties / fast riding, i dont wear gear in hot weather also :butt (well only a helmet)

i think being all suited up in a hot weather is much worse then riding without gear .its so hot u cant concentrate on the road.

Glad to see my post is serving it's purpose.... I will admit, I will wear my boots, JEANS, jacket, helmet, and gloves at a minimum. Think about it....I wear my boots and jeans most of the time anyway, so all I'm really putting on is my Jacket, gloves, and helmet. Alot more protection than cut-off tshirt, gym shorts, and untied high tops. Found out, he also lives with his mommy and daddy in my neighborhood so looks like I will have endless entertainment of this doucher.

weather is not an excuse..In the summer it gets to about 105F degrees on a regular basis.. i at least wear boots and jacket.. C'mon guy? you just sound dumb with all your comments.. your going to get hurt one day... so just keep wearing your tshirts and "jeans" since you dont wear shorts. Have fun with that

I understand what SSS R1 is saying. When it is ridiculously hot outside wearing gear makes you so uncomfortable you can't fully concentrate on the road. The same applies to really cold weather. My solution and personal suggestion is simple. Don't ride at all in extreme temperatures. There's another saying: "if it's too hot for gear, it's too hot to ride".

Do what you want, wear what you want. I don't really care but the reason most experienced riders will bag on you is because almost all of the time when someone has the "its too hot for gear" opinion it goes along with the self centered and recklous mentality "squids" typically display. Even before I got back into bikes a few years ago I believed in the appropriate gear for whatever job was at hand. After working the flight deck of an aircraft carrier for many years and getting blown over and slid down the flight deck on occasion even the less "gifted" sailor can appreciate the benefits of wearing his gear. And the freckin Persian Gulf is known to be a little on the warm side even without the jet exhaust in your face.
