so I ordered the paint yesterday for the new paint job. was thinking candy apple red but since they released a red on the 2011 I decided no. Ordered silver instead which was my second choice. not the exact silver I wanted...but it was $120 cheaper to get this silver versus the other haha..plus this paint job is just practice with the paint gun. so HOPEFULLY while im on vacation next week I can get it all painted

well technically its grey...the silver I thought was too bright. the grey looked nice..just hope the picture they posted is close to what it comes out to. ordered all the correct clear coat and primers too

I'm fine, there was a fire about 4 miles from me Saturday but it was contained, I'm not sure if Rex is in the Steiner Ranch area. If not he's fine too.

Gonna apply it yourself? or have it done? I put my racing stripe on myself and that was the biggest pain in the ass ever. im not 100% happy with the stripe on the hood and have been thinking about removing it. but want to find something else to put on their first. just looks to plain without a stripe of any kind

There are some vehicle wrap places around here but I don't want to pay anyone to do it. I'll just take my time with it.

spray gun and a squeegie will be your best friend. careful if using a hairdryer or heat gun. when heated then using the squeegie the vinyl would stretch and start to get holes in it.....but that was when i was trying to wrap my tank...It was a cheaper vinyl.

HAHA...I meant spray bottle..not a spray gun. soap and water sprayed lightly on both car and vinyl. also you can lay the vinyl out in the sun for a bit to soften it up

anyone know if there will be a suspension guru at the track willing to set up peoples suspension? from what I hear eagle canyon has a guy that charges $30 for it..planned on going up there while on vacation to get it done..but since i'm probably gonna be heading to a track already might as well see if someone there has the know how.
